I love stories which reconcile canon in new and interesting ways. The best ones - like this, and Deborah's gorgeous original - leave me thinking "I wish I'D thought of that!" What a bittersweet, wonderful read. It's pieces like this that make me sad that the BSG fandom is in its decline, but also glad for the time I had there.
