He laughs, then. He can see all of it for just a moment: the harmony of the worlds, peace spreading out around them through the stars. He’s never loved her so much.
He holds her down, something burning in his eyes that goes beyond this moment.
“I hurt him and he made me crazy but he’s here. Even though he knows who I am.”
“She’s just a kid,” Kara snaps.
Gosh, the above lines!
Paint!sex turned on it's head is wonderful - as is how he pushes just that little bit too much, for that's perfect characterisation. As is the thought that he maybe might have intended to imprison her, but realised love is about freedom to love.
Glad about Lee being sorry about Sam, because jealousy aside, Lee at heart is such a good man, and so is Sam; and they do see this about each other. He also wouldn't want Kara to be hurting. He knows her grief.
Hera smiling and ansering Kara is adorable.
That last line is so fucking sad, I can't even. You made me not want them get out of the dolls house; how's that for a turn of events? (ETA: Even as I know it represents a dangerous thing, a dangerous concept and a history that Kara and he need to move on from - but, I just want them to be happy and have a home, and here there is the chance of that.)
