I don't see her here as still in love with Lee, so her angst isn't as deep as it could have been.
Totally agree with you. And you've captured Kara in love very beautifully. I SEE her love for Leoben as a very real and visceral thing. The moment with Lee reminded me a little of Kara's canon moment introducing Lee to Sam. All the emotion is one-sided. So it's certainly canon-consistent.
Now... seeing that I now believe in her love with Leoben, I'm a little bit terrified you're going to rip him away from her. *gives you side eyes* Yes, I am. :)
