Back to read it again...this really is a gorgeous chapter. It feels like you're taking all kinds of canon roles and reassigning them, Leoben is also D'Anna with the vision of the Final Five. (And I'm thinking of D'anna's "I'm so sorry" and how that might be appropriate here.) And I love the way he just feels surrounded by lies, so many of them going back so far that he can't see his way out. It's a different kind of vision, almost an inverted one: to see lies instead of truth.
Agh I want to find out what happens next but I don't want this story to be over.
