This all just seems so true to Kara's backstory, what we know of it. She's such a damaged person that it's hard to understand how she made it into adulthood even remotely sane. Then I remember that what doesn't break us, makes us stronger, survivors, and Kara's a survivor, for sure.
I just want to hug that child, but she'd probably kick me and tell me to frak off. :)
