Laura turned back, smiling fondly at his expression. “We’re alive again,” she murmured.
I love this whole idea that they're alive again--it's so fitting for both of them on so many different levels.
I giggled at the whole idea they overheard Lee and Kara.
(And I totally wish you'd go beyond PG with Bill and Laura! ;) You'd rock it!)
