They really could have made everything make sense, and I don't understand why that beautiful continuity and realism of the early season ceased to be something the writers were interested in. It's just weird and sad to me and to be honest S4 is like a different show to me. One I didn't really like, despite some lovely moments and some explorations that I had wanted for a while, like Lee going into politics.
